Walk in Walt's Disneyland Footsteps
Guided Tour
This hidden gem of a tour is as close as you can get today to walking with Walt through his beloved park while he shares his dream, struggles and ultimately his beloved park! This guided tour takes you to some of his favorite places, attractions and shares audio clips of Walt Disney himself! You end at the Holly Jolly Bakery on Main street USA with a delicious meal and great dessert! It is an additional fee but worth it!
runDisney
"runDisney is not a race, but another Disney experience." That was the first piece of advice I received the morning of my first race and very valuable. Do not be worried about your time, or making a PR, enjoy the park, get pictures with the characters and make this another magical moment!
Amy Larsen, Vacation Planner
As long as Amy can remember she has been in love with Mickey Mouse and all things Disney! The older she got, the more she developed a true admiration for Walt Disney and his passion to never stop pursuing his dreams! For Walt his dream began with a Mouse, for Amy it began with an acceptance letter to be a part of the Walt Disney World College Program at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon.
After obtaining her degree in Outdoor Recreation and Tourism from the University of Wyoming, Amy returned to Walt Disney World for the Advanced Internship program, where she worked with Cast Activities. Both of these experiences were truly life-changing and just like her idol, Walt Disney, they gave her “faith, trust, and a little bit of pixie-dust” to continue to pursue her passions and never stop dreaming.
While her dream was always to make Walt Disney World her home, her love for her family, Wyoming and the mountains called her back, however she never lost that Disney Magic. After 17 years working in Youth and Young Adult ministry, she took a leap of faith and began to pursue her Masters in Tourism Management with a certificate in Adventure Travel so that she could help others discover their own “Magical Moments”!
Disney continues to be a favorite destination for Amy, and visits either Disneyland or Disney World as often as possible! She loves how Disney is truly a place where imaginations can soar to incredible heights and no one has to ever grow-up! Recently she gotten hooked on runDisney opportunities and has completed the Never Land 5K and Tinker Bell 10K at the Disneyland resort, and in January of 2019 will run the Walt Disney World 5K and ½ marathon!
