Amy’s love for Disney began the moment she set foot on property at Walt Disney World. As a junior in college she had never been to Walt Disney World but was a huge fan of Disney movies. When she saw a flier on campus to interview for the College Program and work at Walt Disney World for a summer she knew she wanted to do just that. After several interviews the wheels were in motion for her to begin the College Program that summer.

Amy spent the summer working as a Merchandise Hostess at Disney’s Hollywood Studios (then named Disney/MGM Studios). Her location was called the Loony Bin and you would walk through it after riding the Studio Backlot Tour.  Disney’s Hollywood Studios has undergone many changes and though the Loony Bin is now gone, the park is still Amy’s favorite. She is excited about all the upcoming additions to the park that are sure to make it a favorite of many more people.

While working at Walt Disney World any off time was spent exploring the parks with fellow College Program cast members. You could often find her headed to the Magic Kingdom after work just to ride Space Mountain. After returning to school to finish college Amy continued to visit Walt Disney World as often as she could. Amy also kept in touch with many of her fellow cast members that she now considers long time friends.

Now Amy enjoys going to the parks for College Program Alumni events as well as family vacations. As a DVC owner she is often visiting Disney World several times a year.  Recently Amy did her first RunDisney event when she completed the Disney Princess 5k with her family. In addition to trips to Walt Disney World, Amy has even tested her sea legs on a Disney Cruise. Amy can’t wait to visit Castaway Cay again on another cruise in the future. Amy looks forward to using all her experience and knowledge to plan your next Disney vacation.
