Professional Portraits at Walt Disney World . . . Practically Perfect in Every Way

Capturing the moments on your Walt Disney World vacation is something many people treasure. One of the best kept secrets are the professional photographers that work on Disney property and can take incredible photos of you and your family. Whether you are looking for professional photos at your favorite resort, or maybe your entire family is going to Disney for a family reunion and would like a portrait done, there are so many great opportunities to create an album that is unique to your family.

For years I had wanted to have professional photos taken while at Disney. When we decided to take my daughter, Skyler, on her second trip to Disney to celebrate her 2nd birthday, I found this to be the perfect excuse to have her two year old photos captured at Walt Disney World. Years before I came across a photographer, Randy Chapman, and was really impressed with his composition and his ability to convey the magic of the moment. He had shot Disney Fairytale Weddings, honeymoons and family sessions. I reached out to him to see what he could do.

Setting up a photo session was really easy and very reasonably priced (packages starting at $200!). I wanted to have photos taken in the Magic Kingdom as well as at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. I had worked there as a Front Desk Hostess so it’s kind of like home for me and the setting is beautiful.

It’s on the Seven Seas Lagoon and Cinderella’s Castle is in the background. For two locations we scheduled an hour and a half. It’s a nice amount of time because you don’t feel rushed but you also don’t feel like you are taking too much time away from playing in the parks. Randy was extremely flexible and understanding with our time considering we were traveling from out of town and using Disney transportation to get to our photo shoot locations. He was there when we arrived and was ready to go. Timing is everything and we were able to get so many great shots; from our family with the monorail coming into the station to getting Skyler at just the right moment with her balloon on the beach.

The photos are just beautiful. They exceeded my expectations and are by far a better value than most other photography sessions I have done at home in Chicago. We have a valuable keepsake for our family now and for many many years to come. I truly believe that planning a Disney photo session, whether it be with Randy or any other well-known photographer on Disney property, is a new “must-do” on your next Walt Disney World or Disneyland vacation.

If you are interested in booking your own photo session with Randy Chapman, you can find him at Chapman Photogrpahy.
